Opportunity for Canadian founders to pitch to global investors!

 

On Demo Day

Selected founders will get an opportunity to present their companies to TiE Vancouver Angels, plus local, US and international guests from TiE’s Extended Investor Network. Shortlisted companies will be invited to participate our due diligence process for funding. Projects with investor interest, and meeting the funding criteria will be referred to TiE Global Angels (TGA) for access to TiE's worldwide investor network.

Founders FAQ

1. There is no cost for founders to pitch and raise capital with TiE.

2. Founders may apply more than once, but priority will be given to new projects. If you are re-applying, please make it clear in your application that there has been a pivot or a significant progress since you last talked to us.

3. Due to a very large number of applications, only shortlisted projects will be contacted.

4. Our mandate is to work with Canadian founders only. If you are located outside of Canada, please look for a TiE Chapter near you.

5. The email address that you provide is the only way for us to reach you. Please use an email address that you use most frequently. Please also remember to check your spam folder on a regular basis after you apply.

TiE Vancouver Angels

TiE Vancouver Angels (TVA) - a not-for-profit angel investor forum with a mission to fund and foster Canadian entrepreneurs. We are a part of TiE Global Angels (TGA) - the largest angel investor network in the world with founding chapters Silicon Valley, LA, Boston, Vancouver, and Atlanta.

Our goal is to bridge Canadian entrepreneurs to global investors, and to provide Canadian investors access to global startups by leveraging the world's most extensive investor network.

The investment forum is managed by volunteer charter members. TiE Vancouver Angels welcomes all entrepreneurs and investors.

TiE Incubation Lab

Based in Vancouver BC, TiE Incubation Lab is focused on supporting Canadian pre-seed founders and startups. The lab supports TiE Vancouver’s mission of fostering Canadian entrepreneurs by providing high potential Canadian startups with mentorship, advisory and hands-on support required to increase their fundability potential in the US and globally. The programming is being offered in partnership with TiE Global Angels and TiE’s extended worldwide investor network.

TiE Canada-India Trade Council

Canada-India Trade Council is a group of influential decision makers from growth-stage startups, plus medium and large Canadian enterprises. The initiative aims at facilitating and supporting Canadian businesses interested in doing business in and with India, by leveraging the worldwide networks of TiE.

TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) was founded in Silicon Valley in 1992 by entrepreneurs with roots in South Asia, and is currently spread over 62 chapters in 14 countries with 15,000+ membership consisting of entrepreneurs, VCs, Private Equity, global conglomerates, family offices, and service providers. The largest chapters of TiE include San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Singapore, London and Dubai.
